Architecture impacts on us all! From living space to office buildings, to the public green space we enjoy or the streets we use daily – the design of our surroundings impacts on all areas of life. The ability to follow architectural developments in a historical context is needed to understand our living space today and future developments. The world-class collection of the Architekturzentrum Wien maintains this knowledge, the heritage of buildings as a culture in Austria, the “Az W Gold”.
This book contains presentations of around 400 projects from the continually growing Az W collection, including exceptional designs, highly regarded buildings, previously little known gems and unique works by leading Austrian architects.
