Description

Carl Auböck’s (1924–1993) passionate occupation with craftsmanship, his knowledge in the fields of prefabrication, and especially the combination of three areas of expertise – architecture, design and interior-design – made him an important representative of the post-war generation of architects and a noteworthy proponent of Austrian design and architecture after 1945. The complexity and richness of Carl Auböck’s oeuvre in the areas of design, architecture, and teaching are unique for this period in Vienna. This publication illustrates a selection of remarkable single objects and collections as well as design for prefabrication and serial production.
