Vintners and the Building Buzz
Tracing the WineArchitecture Phenomenon
Over the course of the last 20 years the functional demands for the creation of high-quality wine have changed. These changes have often rendered new buildings a necessity. Astonishingly, though, winemakers have increasingly been turning to famous architects with these commissions in the small communities between Ehrenhausen and Deutschkreuz instead of working with local building companies. The reasons behind this phenomenon are many, with the production and presentation of wine being subjected to a veritable building buzz.
A circle of architecture and wine experts traces the phenomenon of WineArchitecture and attempts to outline a trend for the future.
