sundays 230: walking the aspern periphery
When the countryside/outskirts become urban the situation changes. We want to explore this forgotten periphery once again before it is no longer on the periphery and is absorbed by the lakeside town of Aspern. Aspern airport, Aspern Racetrack, the Battle of Aspern…
As part of her Am Stadtrand project (supported by KÖR Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Wien) Barbara Holub invites you to join a very special walk on the urban periphery. A forgotten little remnant of primeval forest that has flourished all these years has produced a new species of animal, the blue frog. We explore its habitat (raw and full of secrets) whilst strolling in the midst of yearnings… before architecture.
Bus ride to Siegesplatz, Aspern. Continuing on foot …until the return trip by bus.
