The subject of Nazi architecture is the focus of the Heritage Rejected Symposium at the Az W, as well as of this autumn’s exhibition The Atlantic Wall. The exhibition will for the first time present the various types of construction of the defensive wall built along the Atlantic coast from France to Norway by the German Wehrmacht from 1939-1944. On sundays, Klaus Steiner will lead an excursion to contemporary examples of Viennese Nazi architecture – from military buildings, bunkers for civilians and apartment developments to other kinds of urban development.
