a_tour 3…international
The change in the city of Vienna’s political field in the 1960s resulted in new developments in several areas. Diverse positions on art and culture politics also left their distinct marks on architecture. Starting in the mid 1960s, building and architecture in Austria are characterized by the first international commissions and exemplary buildings, such as the “Juridicum” (law school).
After a guided tour through the third stage of the exhibition “a_show, Austrian architecture in the 20th and 21st century” at Az W, sundays will show examples of “International (1958-68)” design.
