As the title of this year’s Architecture Biennale in Venice (‘Next’) proclaims, the emphasis is on a special selection of projects that will be realized within the next 10 years. Dietmar Steiner was commissioned to oversee and plan the Austrian contribution: ‘Jan Turnovsky, Heidulf Gerngross, Rainer Köberl and Nelo Auer were selected. They share an individual yet integrative perception in which architectural design creates a boundary-less, real philosophical world, defying all expectations the media industry has of future architecture. INTEGRAZIONE – Because madness needs method is the specifically Austrian contribution to the international concert of contemporary and future architecture.’
