Special Guided Tour: A Summerly Tour along the Danube Canal

Starting at the new Schwedenplatz boat pier by the architects Fasch & Fuchs, the tour will guide visitors along the latest projects on the increasingly livelier inner-city waterfront. From the Tel Aviv Beach, Otto Wagner’s sluice house and the pulsating media façade of the Uniqa Tower to the Urania, Hermann Island and the legendary Flex – visionary urban designs as well as the architectural history of the monumental canal construction will be vividly explained on a cheerful walk. The tour draws to a close with late-night souvenir shopping with the Neigungsgruppe Design, the organisers of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK.
