Exhibition “Idea Color” and Exhibition “Bruno Taut”
Color is a constant point of debate in architecture. Therefore the Architektur Zentrum Wien staged a basic and general exhibtion on the history of ideas regarding colour. A collection of the most important colour systems from antiquity until today. 72 panels were providing a comprehensive, competent, stimulating introduction to one theory combining text and image.
Bruno Tauts’ glass house exhibited in the Werkbundexhibition in Cologne in 1914 was a house as a vision of architecture, a concrete skeleton with glass and color. An “architectural spectacle” coming to life in the interplay of cosmic and artistic phenomena of light. The Werkbund archives in Berlin reconstructed the glass house and staged the exhibition with light and color.
