Hot Questions – Cold Storage

Feel models and different surfaces, discover the background stories, and experience the atmosphere acoustically — this is how we have designed the guided tour of our permanent exhibition for people who are visually impaired or blind. That the Gasometers are round is a reminder that Gas storage was even an issue 130 years ago. And we hear first-hand from one of the residents while the dimensions of Karl Marx Hof are being demonstrated on the basis of a tactile model. Additional projects, such as the Donauinsel (Danube Island), the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York and the Islamic cemetery in Altach are rendered audible at the audio stations.
