“Hans Hollein has built more than one school”

School visit accompanied by professor Hans Hollein.

The Vienna School Building Programme 2000, the Architekturzentrum Wien had started its “Architecture on Sundays”-tours with, remains a significant subject:
“Hans Hollein built more than one school – an emotional manifesto of architecture against the school being an institution for the production of a one-dimensional child… ” Jan Tabor wrote for the Arbeiterzeitung on the elementary school in the Köhlergasse in 1990.
In an exposed position, directly next to the river the elementary school and the children`s day-home of the Donau-City are being realised.
