Concrete gold, population growth, a scarcity of resources: affordable homes are in increasingly short supply. The city of tomorrow is bigger and denser, we are ageing, we live more individually and are more mobile. As inequality grows the question of urban equity arises. How can we maintain high standards of living and quality homes while keeping prices low? What are the roles played by participation, DIY or collaborative consumption? What should housing development do for the city? How do we want to live in the future?
