In the course of what was called the ‘Führer’s immediate action programme’ (1940) a number of ‘model’ air-raid shelters were also erected in the ‘Gau’ capital, Vienna. In the middle of Arne-Carlsson-Park one such bunker with first-aid station, gas protection, sanitary facilities has survived. A tour of the surroundings
of this bunker looks for remnants of the war that still survive in the city’s appearance today.
