Followoing the Austrian report on the culture of building presented in 2007, ‘Best of Austria’ (Publisher: Holzhausen) presents an impressive survey of current architectural production and achievements in Austria in a presentation of photographs, plans and brief texts covering 180 award-winning projects from the years 2006 and 2007. Initiated by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture and published by the Architekturzentrum Wien, the book provides full coverage of the awards, complete with a comprehensive index. The presentation is accompanied by a discussion of the current situation and potential developments in the culture of building in Austria.
