The energy-efficient refurbishment and expansion of the Az W Collection Depot is a milestone in safeguarding the most significant comprehensive collection on Austrian architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries and its access for the public. The Depot is located on the site of the former metal factory in Möllersdorf and covers around 2,700 square metres. With funding from the City of Vienna and the BMKOES as well as private support, the historic brick halls have been transformed into a future-proof cultural repository with an integrated research centre, where not only knowledge is collected but also knowledge about past and present futures is shared.
