The Az W InstaWalk starts with a brief introduction to the exhibition „Zoom! Picturing Architecture and the City“, which engages with everyday life and changes in urban environments. This is followed by a trip by U-Bahn to a photo safari on the undeveloped grounds of the former Nordbahnhof. Here, motifs await discovery in the interplay between urban wasteland, major construction site and dense new housing development.

How Instawalks Work
Instawalks are initiated around the world by fans of the smartphone app. Instagram. The aim is to go on a photographic voyage of discovery, and then to share the images produced using social media (e.g. Instagram). Each Instawalk is hashtagged for posting, twitter use and searching. This enables as many people as possible to enjoy new photographic perspectives and views of a topic. Everybody is welcome who is interested in photography and an active social networker.
