Kite-making is just right for our Archikids, combining simple experimentation with statics and plenty of creative leeway. The supporting structure and the skin have to be robust if the kite is to stand up to the wind to make sure that it soars and doesn’t crash. The balance must be right, too, as we don’t want our kite to ‘yaw’ or ‘roll’.
