Before the Vienna Council elections in 2025, the representatives of the different Parties discuss their concepts for the development of Vienna in terms of urban and outdoor space, and architecture. Join in!

The event focuses on the key topical issues in the building culture of a major city like Vienna: How can the stock of existing buildings be better utilised than before, and new buildings on greenfield sites be reduced? What strategies will make urban space climate-resilient, and how can we maintain a high standard of living in the city, even during hot summers? And what about housing in Vienna and the quality of new homes, whether subsidised or privately financed? Three experts start a conversation with the politicians concerned; the audience is invited to join in the discussion.

Topics and Experts:
• Birgit Knauer, TU Wien: Building with existing stock
• Simon Tschannett, Meteorologist, Urban climatologist: Climate Change Adaptation
• Robert Temel, Plattform Baukulturpolitik: Quality Assurance for New Homes

Omar Al-Rawi, SPÖ
