Over the past few years prizes have been publicised and awarded successfully in almost all of the provincial states in Austria for timber construction (“Holzbau”). ProHolz Austria is awarding prizes this year for the first time to outstanding timber buildings in the nation’s capital, too, in collaboration with the City of Vienna and the Architekturzentrum Wien.

Prizes are to be awarded from the following categories:

Housing
Public Buildings
Industrial Buildings
Interior Design/Other

The jury is to convene to assess the approximately 40 submissions on 12 August 2005.
