buildings speak volumes
The technoid extension to a former Early Baroque church stands like a glazed framework in the street space of a small town.
sundays visits the final day of an exhibition in the kunsthaus muerz, which “explores in both a literal and exemplary manner the question of the forms in which architecture ‘speaks”‘. The minimalist design of the exhibition by riccione architekten describes the “special relationship that can exist between architecture and language”.
The legendary “Looshaus am Kreuzberg” offers an experience of a house in the country, a house type that is rare in Adolf Loos’ oeuvre, with its wealth of original details from the large hall to the present-day hotel bedrooms, and offers marvellous views of the mountain panorama.
