School workshop for secondary schools to accompany the exhibition 'Form Follows Rule'
Do regulations and standards safeguard our lives? In any case, they do impact on our behaviour and the image of our towns and cities, and of architecture. What regulations do we regard as indispensible because they protect life and limb, for example fire regulations? Which regulations could we dispense with? We test the potential dangers of a staircase on our own bodies in a parkour, find out whether we are risk-takers or safety conscious, and explore the links between our need for safety and the image of our towns and buildings.
